Introduction

Hello. Callistonian.net is my stomping ground on the Internet. Here, I post a potpourri of things - this place is a little random. I'm Chantelle: a 23 year old foreign language, law, and history obsessed girl.

Cecily von Ziegesar’s Gossip Girl #1
Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of privileged teens living in New York City’s Upper East Side. The vast majority of GG’s protagonists are spiteful and superficial: they are as deep as the ink on paper after a girl signs her name with a Montblanc fountain pen.

I know I turned some of you off with my last post. I apologize. But don’t get your hopes up. Math is still my boyfriend, and this entry—well, it’s more perfunctory than not. I’m blogging to blog, not because I have something profound to say, but when do I ever—enough rambling.

I have a tumblr (aerielle.tumblr.com). I will spam it with random thoughts, random quotes, and random pictures of pretty things.

I dragged a male friend into a book store Anthropologie. It’s odd that I remember the incident as one involving a book store; in reality Anthropologie specializes in unique and—dare, I say it? I could work there. Oh well.—ugly and overpriced clothes as well as peculiar books and pretty things. Anyway, my friend threatened to buy me a book, one on bullshit. What is it about BS and the ability to BS that people find so amusing? Why write a book on BS full of BS? What is the point? I mean, really.  BS is such a coarse term too.  Anthropologie is teeming with books on etiquette. What is On Bullshit doing in a place with expensive garments and works titled The Art of Civilized Conversation and Tiffany’s Table Manners. Whatever the reason, I’m glad to see that Anthropologie has a sense of humor. ;)

A new layout is in the works. I’ll won’t use Typepad, and I’ll be going with a white background … That’s all I’ve come up with so far. Suggestions, especially content suggestions, are welcome.

Added you on tumblr! :)

No dissing BS. It’s a great part of my life. And one could also argue that it’s the life in me.

I wanna see new layout without Typepad! Giving in to WP…?

If it is the same book I’m thinking, I think I saw in in Borders (bookstore) in the Western Philosophy section. Is it small and yellow? Heh. Anyway, when I saw it I didn’t think of it as a joke or anything funny, even with that title. I thought it was some serious rambling about BS. Maybe that’s because of the section I saw it in :S
I thought of getting it to see what it was about but it was too expensive for its tiny size. I’ve babbled enough now.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the new layout ;)

I have a tumbler too (though infrequently used. Same user name.).

I love Anthropolie. Ridiculous clothes and all. They have such pretty interior designs.

Looking forward to your new layout.

I love silly books like that! Although, I definitely do not need to learn how to BS. I already know how, judging on how I passed Biology without actually knowing anything, and referring to lions as “communist,” on my final exam.

The term BS bothers me, I don’t know why. Doesn’t stop me from doing it! But I like to think that I don’t “BS” very often.

I appreciate mathematics… I actually have a thing for hot mathematicians, namely Isaac Newton, oh that hair! But seriously, I love math… I just wish I was good at it!

A book on BS? I agree that’s pointless. Either you know how to BS or not… it’s not a science, it’s an art, it’s not something you can learn, it’s innate.

Ugh, just more people trying to capitalize on an idea.

What exactly is a Tumblr?

Sorry to spam, but I just wanted to tell you that I’ve tagged you! :D

I have also tagged you!
