Cecily von Ziegesar’s Gossip Girl #1
Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of privileged teens living in New York City’s Upper East Side. The vast majority of GG’s protagonists are spiteful and superficial: they are as deep as the ink on paper after a girl signs her name with a Montblanc fountain pen.
Look, it’s a new design. It took me months—yes, months—to get this up. Yet there are stills tons of little things about this design that aren’t quite right. I’m working on them. Nonetheless, I hope that you like it as it is, right now. If you don’t, hit me up with suggestions. As far as content goes, some of it’s up. Most of it isn’t. I’m working on that too. :)

Ditto the above comment. :) I’m not keen on the fat footer (logically, why is the introduction buried at the bottom of the page, where it’s the last thing people will see?), but I protest against it everywhere…so *shrug*

To be honest, I didn’t want a fat footer. I wanted a sidebar which is why the layout kind of juts out at the top where the search box is, but then the content was too squished… :( so I resigned to having a fat footer. Fluid layouts aren’t my thing and I wanted this to be 800×600 friendly. Hmmm…
Holy crap! I just went from dark Snark to this super bright layout.. I think it caused retina damage. I must make a mental note to prepare myself when leaving dark sites, heh. [/off-topic]
I like the structure, the little details like the colouring next to the entry titles etc. The colours remind me of one of my very early layouts (and therefore are automatically fab). The background is a nice touch too.
Agree with Amanda re: odd placing of intro, but apart from that the footer is fine. You could always move the intro to above the first entry on the main blog page? Don’t know how that’d look though.
Overall: I like it :D

The new design is very nice and I like the colors, very soothing

I like it :) Though I don’t like the fact that it’s not centered! :P I didn’t notice the flowers on the right at first, so I thought: Why on earth is it not centered? Now I see though. It’s a nice little touch :D
I really like the new layout! It’s refreshing to see the colours, since out in Canada it’s so cold abnd dreary. :P
Ooh, I love it, especially the little details such as the flower background, the site name area, and the navigation at the top. I’m not sure about the huge footer, though — it’s kind of weird when people put semi-important stuff down there. Maybe you could have a mini-sidebar where the search box is and then have your main text wrap around it?

This layout is… splendid! I love it :) The blue is cool and beautiful. The header makes me feel so refreshed :)
Love it, especially the choice of colours and the flowers. I must admit I was confused by the layout at first, but soon got the hang of it..
