Hello. Callistonian.net is my stomping ground on the Internet. Here, I post a potpourri of things - this place is a little random. I'm Chantelle: a 23 year old foreign language, law, and history obsessed girl.

Cecily von Ziegesar’s Gossip Girl #1
Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of privileged teens living in New York City’s Upper East Side. The vast majority of GG’s protagonists are spiteful and superficial: they are as deep as the ink on paper after a girl signs her name with a Montblanc fountain pen.

For your information, (and in the US, at least) tomorrow is Mother’s Day. If you haven’t prepared something for your mum just yet, you may want to get to it.

I’m a Grade A* procrastinator. Procrastinating is something that I shouldn’t do. But as it is something that I do very well, I can’t help but indulge in it every once in awhile. Anyway, I bought my mother something today. I’ve still yet to put together a card and things… I will.

I bought my mother a tea pitcher and dainty tea cups/saucers. She likes tea. I like pretty things. Tea + pretty things = pretty tea things. Thus, that is what I bought her. :D

The pitcher was originally way overpriced, but because I was oh so lucky, I got the pitcher + cups + saucers + a coin purse for myself for less than the original price of the pitcher. I win! Seriously, I feel like I accomplished something amazing in the world of retail. :) Have you ever gotten a good deal on an item you really wanted?

Do you have any plans for Mother’s Day?

I went shopping with my mom today and bought her a shirt to wear to her grandma’s funeral next weekend. Which is… a nice gift, albeit somewhat depressing considering the event it will be worn to. I still have to buy her a CD she wanted, but haven’t been able to track it down yet, and I suppose I will take her out for coffee or something tomorrow.

My dad spent the whole day ripping the side of our house off and moving a window over, and then putting in a sliding door. It’s a nice sliding door that looks like traditional French doors, but, er… slides. :P To save on space.

Your gift sounds fantastic! My mom is such a tomboy. I’m the only girly one in my household. I make up for it by being EXTREMELY girly, though. ;)

*swims in sea of no-money*

I wish I could go out and get my mom something nice, but I guess this year will revert to those of my childhood, when I made her all sort of presents out of paper.

Other than some paper crafting in my near future, I hope I can at least give my mom a ride around. She’s always the one who drives when we go out, so maybe she’ll like to be the passenger for once. Maybe go to a park or something. I’m such a sucky daughter, lol.

I still haven’t gotten my mother anything. It’s always hard shopping for my mother, because she’s the type who will return your gift and get something else. Which is really annoying when she does it year after year. I was thinking of getting her a card and sticking some money in there, but it just didn’t feel right. Anyway, I have a little time before I go and pay her a visit tomorrow. I may just get her a big floral arrangement. She loves flowers.

Today was Mothers Day here hehehehe * I ish in the future you know! * and I bought my mummy dear a Special Edition Kylie Minogue CD - DVD included ;) And it was HALF PRICED on a Mothers Day sale…who knew heaps of mothers enjoyed listening to pop princess Kylie??? Pssh, I’m not complaining either way xD

Aww, what you got your mum sounds really nice! =] I’m sure she’ll love it hehehehe. Even if you are a procrastinator, I bet you always manage to get things done on time. xD I know I always manage to do last minute things and always get good results…or something like that hahaha.

Oooo, shoppin on the job =p I’d do that too hahahaha.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY YOU PEOPLE OF THE PAST!

Last year I made my mum a little crocheted egg but this year I hadn’t had time (or idea) to be creative… but we had a lovely dinner with my grandmother over so I guess that counts! :P

Thank you for reminding me that today is Mother’s Day!
