About Chantelle
‘Lo. I’m a slightly unusual girl: I rarely turn on the TV; I buy books in languages I cannot read; I use semicolons. I’m also a historienne with a penchant for stationery and old violins. My summer plans include moving across an ocean to a country 6000 miles away… It’ll be fun. Who cares if I’m young, naive, and can’t speak the language fluently? I’m getting older; I’m not that naive (I’m rather clever); I can speak the language well enough (I’m a polyglot-in-training).
Nothing irks me more than being mediocre. I cherish sincerity. I want to excel; I want to work hard. High standards? Yes, I have those. Big dreams? Yes, I have those too. Ebullience? Yep. Success? It’s coming? I gotta’ think positive—I’m an optimist, but even if I’m not successful… I still want to work hard.

General Information and Mission Statement
Callistonian.net is my cherished personal domain. It’s where I blog and post a lot of random things including: reviews, photographs, and downloadable goodies (the last bit should be coming soon enough). Callistonian.net was registered with 000domains on February 1, 2001. It debuted in March of 2001.
Callistonian.net is hosted by ImHosted.com. ♥ WordPress powers the blog and most subpages.
Domain Name
Callistonian.net – I love words with aerial/celestial sounds and connotations. Callisto is Jupiter’s most gorgeous moon. The term Callisto is Latin, from Greek Kallist, perhaps from kallistos, superlative of kalos. Kalos means beautiful (dictionary.com).
Tagline
where always it’s spring) – e.e. cummings is one of my favorite poets; one of my favorite poems of his is “who knows if the moon’s.” Callistonian.net’s tagline, where always it’s spring), is a line from that poem. I love spring; I’m frightfully optimistic and blithe. I think that the tagline fits.
About This Version
I’m using a pre-made theme courtesy of the Theme Foundry. I’ve tweaked it a little bit. I’ll probably continue tweaking it, but hopefully I’ll be able to put up something original by the end of the year.
